What even is Reiki?

“I’ve heard of it, but I’m not really sure what it is…”

  • It works with your body instead of trying to override it. It is an energetic practice that supports the body’s natural ability to relax, reset, and heal. It works with your nervous system and your energy field to help release stress, clear blockages, and bring you back into balance.

    Imagine your energy like a river. When it’s flowing, everything feels alive and steady. When it’s blocked, (stress, grief, overwhelm) things get murky, stuck, and heavy.

    Reiki doesn’t force the river…it gently helps clear the path so the flow can return.

    We use hovering hands and/or light touch (asking for permission first, of course) fully clothed under soft blankets. Most people feel warmth, calm, emotional release, or a heavy grounded feeling like you just sank into yourself.

    It’s not about belief.

    It’s about regulation. It’s about your body remembering it knows what to do.

    Most people understand physical health and even mental health…but energetic health is the quiet layer underneath both.

    It’s the difference between:

    • being exhausted even after rest

    • feeling heavy but not knowing why

    • walking into a room and instantly picking up on the vibe

    Your energy is constantly responding to your environment, your emotions, and other people. When it gets overloaded or stagnant, it can show up as anxiety, burnout, tension, or just feeling “off.”
