Frequently Asked Questions
What happens during a session?
We start with a check-in chat. Nothing too intense. Just enough to orient. Then you’ll lie on the table under a blanket in a calm space. I’ll use hands hovering or light touch above the body while you rest.
Some people drift into that in between place. Some stay awake the whole time. It is all perfect and okay however it happens.
Afterwards, we leave space to gently re-enter the world and do another check-in before you leave.
Do I have to talk about my trauma?
No.You are never required to unpack your entire life story to receive care here.
If something wants to be shared, we hold it gently. If not, that’s completely okay. Your body can process without performance.
Is this religious?
No. Reiki is not tied to a specific religion. It is a supportive, complementary practice that works with your body’s natural ability to regulate and restore.
People from all belief systems come here. Skeptics too. Everyone is welcome.
You don’t have to believe in anything specific for it to work. You just have to show up.
What if I'm anxious or can't relax?
Then you are especially welcome! You do not need to arrive calm in order to receive Reiki.
Your nervous system does not have to earn rest.
Even if your mind is busy, your body can still settle. We meet it exactly where it is.
Is Reiki a substitute for therapy or medical care?
No. Reiki is a complementary practice. It supports your overall well being but does not replace mental or medical health care.
If you are working with other providers, Reiki can be a beautiful addition.

How often should I come?
It depends on what you’re navigating. Some people come weekly during high stress seasons. Others come monthly for maintenance. Some come when their system simply says “it’s time.”
There is no pressure and no package rush. Your body will tell you what it needs.
What if I'm not sure this is for me?
That’s okay too! You don’t have to be certain. Curiosity is enough.
Sometimes your body knows before your brain catches up.
